About Nicholas Small
Photography is my passion! I have a love for the art that began at the age of 14 years old with my Dad’s Exakta RTL 1000 camera. You know those old hard bodied silver manual types that anyone under 35 would fail to appreciate in this age of digital photography.
I’m versatile and enjoy all aspects of photography, but I have a particular fondness for capturing images at night. I also have an affinity for landscape photography and black & whites, especially those processed in the infrared and sepia tone.
While I’m proud of my previous work and I am grateful to those subjects who’ve allowed me to immortalized slices of their lives, I continue to look for future projects that will further challenge and stretch me as an artist.
Through my photographic work, I aim to capture a moment in time, create compelling art and change this often bland, robotic world we live into a more colorful and cheerful place.
